Biography
Born in Northampton England.
Move to Poole - Dorset
Enrolled on the foundation course at Bournemouth and Poole college of Art and design.
Studied Fine art at Preston Polytechnic in Lancashire.
Made a "Grand tour", hitchhiking around Europe. I was particularly struck by Berlin, Venice, Florence and Paris.
Spent a year doing a post graduate "Art teachers certificate" at Brighton Polytechnic.
Started working as a residential social worker in the London borough of Southwark.
Came to live in London.
Shuttling back and forth between London and Paris, over the years I have grown to know and love Paris very well.
Quit Southwark social services to travel for a year in South America. Touring Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia and Peru.
Return to UK with a large number of photographs.
Six month road trip, photographing around the United States and Canada.
The stock photography business is beginning to decline, partly as a result of the new technology.
Move to Dorchester.
Start drawing again. Dorset, the right place to make a fresh start .
From coloured pencil and pastel drawings on paper, moving to Oil painting. The still lifes are winter paintings.
Moving into the new media and online exhibition.
